LIGHTED MARKER BALL

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

MODEL: WS9R1

An illuminated warning sphere is employed to increase the visibility of transmission lines to aircraft and is intended to eliminate potential accident risks. In lighting power transmission lines, the primary criterion is the reduction of flight hazards under adverse weather conditions. In particular, after nightfall the visibility of transmission lines decreases significantly and may even become impossible in certain areas. Therefore, illuminated warning spheres are designed to ensure flight safety in dusty, foggy, cloudy, rainy, and windy conditions, and to make transmission lines visible after dark by providing illumination.

In conventional applications, transmission systems use warning spheres with only phosphorescent reflective surfaces to alert aircraft. By contrast, the illuminated warning spheres designed and manufactured to ensure the visibility of power lines at night are the first and only of their kind in Türkiye. Unlike known counterparts worldwide, this illuminated warning sphere incorporates several innovations: an LED beacon powered by an integrated photovoltaic (PV) panel and battery pack. Owing to this architecture, the spheres can be seen effectively both at night and under inclement weather conditions, thereby preventing aircraft-related incidents on transmission lines, safeguarding human life, and eliminating problems such as power outages caused by such accidents.

Designed in compliance with ICAO specifications and standards, equipped with solar panels and lighting features to ensure high-voltage line visibility.

PRODUCT FEATURES

  • Powered by built-in PV panels, requiring no external energy source.

  • Ensures continuous visibility of transmission lines both day and night — via reflectors during the day and the warning light at night.

  • Long lifespan due to low power consumption.

  • Operates continuously under high and low temperature conditions (-30°C to +45°C).

  • Equipped with an LED warning light that complies with ICAO specification criteria.

  • Remains visible during adverse and dark weather conditions such as wind, rain, snow, and fog.

  • Once fully charged, the warning sphere’s batteries can supply energy for a minimum of 7 days without sunlight.

  • The rotation mechanism prevents potential damage to the conductive wire and keeps the warning light at the top of the sphere properly aligned under all conditions, ensuring uninterrupted operation.

  • The climate-controlled compartment housing the control board and battery is filled with durable insulation materials, protecting the system from external factors such as harsh weather and environmental conditions.

  • Thanks to the GSM module on the control board, all illuminated warning spheres can be monitored and tracked remotely.
